Using my stash

imageHi, been in the craft space a lot this weekend as the weather has been far from good! Today’s project is a small 2″ square cube box with a lid, a band and bow made using birthday DSP and the Bow Builder Punch from Stampin Up. The card stock used to make this box is the 12 x 12 Kraft card which is thicker than the normal card stock and makes perfect sturdy boxes. You can see these items and so much more at my Stampin Up online store  Happy Crafting and keep warm 😊

Miniature Birdhouse

Hi, I decided to have a bit of a play about with a small wooden birdhouse I bought a few weeks ago. It measures approx 7.5 x 6 x 3 cm and I covered it with Stampin Up English Garden DSP and one or two flowers using the punches and the small bird stamp from Everything Eleanor stamp set. I think it’s quiet cute and looks lovely sitting amongst my makes. Happy Crafting 😊   Want to purchase items or look at Stampin Up products then go to my online store

Spring Sunday

Hi, been a busy week in the craft space making swaps for Stampin Up On Stage at Telford next Saturday. I can’t show you my swaps just yet as I want to keep them a secret and part of them I’m not quite sure what to put in them at present! Today after  finishing my swaps I thought I’d make a gift for a special little someone I will see next week to put in her bedroom. I just love making these home decor items it’s amazing how different they look with a change of colour. I used Mint Macaroon cardstock and the beautiful English Garden DSP. If you would like to purchase one in the colour of your choice I charge £15 inc p&p private message me if you would like to order one. Hope you are having a lovely Sunday Happy Crafting 😊image

Wednesday wonder

Hi, today’s project is a commissioned wedding congratulations card for a lady who attends our quilting group. She is Asian and I tried to combine traditional colours with a quilting theme. The papers used are from Love Blossoms stack and the punch used is the mosaic punch both from Stamping Up. Happy crafting 😊image

Throwback Tuesday

Hi, just a quick post today I thought I’d revisit a box I made last year I really like the shape of this and it’s easy to make. It’s cased from the talented Linda Parker I love her boxes! The card stock I used is Mossy Meadow one of the in-colours which will leave us this year and teamed up with Very Vanilla and Pacific Point and the daisies from Grateful Bunch stamp set. Hope your day is going well, happy crafting 😊 www.elainebaines.stampinup.netimage

Monochrome Sunday

Hi, wet and windy Sunday so thoughts turn to crafty projects. I’ve been considering making this project for a few weeks so today was the day to tackle it! It’s a box frame card made following the instructions provided by my SU buddy Amanda Bates at The Craft Spa (your ears must have been burning Amanda I did curse you a couple of times) those dam corners got the better of me!  Anyway it’s completed now and a great way to display the fantastic Botanical Builder Framelits, a very versatile set which can be purchased as a bundle consisting of a stamp set, dies and a 12 sheet pack of 12×12 Botanical Gardens Designer Series Paper for £46.75 order no 140818 – this bundle saves you 15% on the normal price if you purchased the items individually and purchasing this bundle would also qualify you for a free item from Sale-a-Bration. Spring colours

Hi, I had a crafty afternoon yesterday and decided to get an old favourite out …. a tin of cards but using new items from Stampin Up Spring catalogue. The paper I used is from the Love Blossoms DSP stack the colours are just gorgeous and the colours I used for this set are Crumb Cake, Whisper White, Blusing Bride and Rose Red. The stamp set I used was the beautiful and versatile Grateful Bunch, the large daisy is just something else and I’m sure it will be making an appearance in many more of my projects. Right, I’m of to my craft space again I need to make some birthday cards, I can’t believe I’ve got none made and I’ve birthdays coming up. Enjoy your day 😊

Sale-a-Bration stamp set

imageHello, today I thought I’d give a male themed card a go as male cards aren’t always that easy to do and they aren’t something I tend to make by choice. The swing card idea came from my  crafty friend Amanda at The Craft Spa.  The stamp set used is one of the limited sets from sale-a-bration (SAB) called Sky is the Limit. You can only obtain the SAB items when you purchase items from Stampin Up and for every £45 you spend you get to choose an item from the SAB catalogue.  Sale-a-Bration only runs for a limited time and comes to an end on 31st March, the limited stamp sets end on 15th February. If you would like to receive a Spring catalogue and SAB information please message me or browse my online store

Happy Crafting 😀
