Punches

Using my stash

imageHi, been in the craft space a lot this weekend as the weather has been far from good! Today’s project is a small 2″ square cube box with a lid, a band and bow made using birthday DSP and the Bow Builder Punch from Stampin Up. The card stock used to make this box is the 12 x 12 Kraft card which is thicker than the normal card stock and makes perfect sturdy boxes. You can see these items and so much more at my Stampin Up online store http://www.elainebaines.stampinup.net  Happy Crafting and keep warm 😊

3rd Birthday Boing Box Card

Hi, today’s project is a bespoke project I put together for Edward’s 3rd birthday, he’s my sweetheart 💕💕 it took me quite sometime to put it together with a handmade spring to present the contents in a totally amazing way. Reality, it just struggled to pop about 1cm no sign of boing at all! Having said that it looks pretty good once it’s assisted from hiding and tweaked to make the best of the display. Eddie liked it and that’s all that matters. Hope you’re all having a good Bank Holiday and Happy Crafting 😊

Flowers for Friday

Hi, I’ve had this jar for at least 2 years and never got round to doing”something” with it. Then suddenly an idea shot into my head, well ambled! This is the idea in its completed form, it looks pretty and was a great way of getting rid of card stock scraps and improving my flower making skills. I used the SU punches to make the flowers the large flower is made using the Pansy Punch (130698 – £14.50) and the small flower is made using the flower from the Itty Bitty Punch Pack  (133787 – £15.50 for set of 3). The leaves are from the Bird Builder Punch (177191 – £16.00). So many home decor items you can make with paper, it’s not just cards! Happy crafting 😊

Throwback Tuesday

Hi, just a quick post today I thought I’d revisit a box I made last year I really like the shape of this and it’s easy to make. It’s cased from the talented Linda Parker I love her boxes! The card stock I used is Mossy Meadow one of the in-colours which will leave us this year and teamed up with Very Vanilla and Pacific Point and the daisies from Grateful Bunch stamp set. Hope your day is going well, happy crafting 😊 www.elainebaines.stampinup.netimage

Spring colours

Hi, I had a crafty afternoon yesterday and decided to get an old favourite out …. a tin of cards but using new items from Stampin Up Spring catalogue. The paper I used is from the Love Blossoms DSP stack the colours are just gorgeous and the colours I used for this set are Crumb Cake, Whisper White, Blusing Bride and Rose Red. The stamp set I used was the beautiful and versatile Grateful Bunch, the large daisy is just something else and I’m sure it will be making an appearance in many more of my projects. Right, I’m of to my craft space again I need to make some birthday cards, I can’t believe I’ve got none made and I’ve birthdays coming up. Enjoy your day 😊

Look back Tuesday

Hi, today I decided to revisit some of the stamp sets from Stampin Up’s annual catalogue. With all the new seasonal sets at Christmas and now those in the Spring catalogue as well as SAB we tend to overlook those fabulous items that are in the annual catalogue. So today’s project I made using the Mini Treatbag Thinlits die, Butterfly Basics & Hardwood stamp sets and the Flower Medallion punch. The edges I sponged using Crumb Cake ink to give it a more vintage feel. If you would like to look at any items by Stampin Up please go to my online store at http://www.elainebaines.stampinup.net or message me for more information. Happy Crafting 😊image
