Hi, Stampin Up have just released a new stamp #imbringingbirthdaysback as part of the move toward getting people to send handmade cards rather than Facebook messages or e- cards. Β Have you every received or sent a handmade card? Would you like to receive a handmade card that you can send out to a member of your family or friends? For a limited period of one week starting from Monday 18th April until Sunday 24th April (inc) I will send you a handmade card so you can see the quality of Stampin Up products and the professional look you get from these products. All you have to do is like my Laineybcrafts Facebook page (it must be the page you like not the post) and send me your address so I can send you your free handmade card. If you already like my page just send me your address. Only one card per household please. If you would like to learn how to make your own cards, let me know as I will be arranging workshops in Calderdale in the coming weeks. The cards I send out will be of my choosing – no special request, sorry. Happy Crafting 😊

Thank you Thursday

Hi, it’s a few days since I posted any projects so I thought I’d better get something on here. Today’s project is a selection of Thank you cards made using the World of Thanks stamp. I used a selection of bright colours to make the image stand out and teamed it with layering. A quick and easy project. On one of the cards I used glitter and the pastel multi colour I used the ‘resist’ technique. Off to do a bit of crafting and nattering with my friend KraftingK. Happy Crafting 😊

Flowers for Friday

Hi, I’ve had this jar for at least 2 years and never got round to doing”something” with it. Then suddenly an idea shot into my head, well ambled! This is the idea in its completed form, it looks pretty and was a great way of getting rid of card stock scraps and improving my flower making skills. I used the SU punches to make the flowers the large flower is made using the Pansy Punch (130698 – Β£14.50) and the small flower is made using the flower from the Itty Bitty Punch Pack Β (133787 – Β£15.50 for set of 3). The leaves are from the Bird Builder Punch (177191 – Β£16.00). So many home decor items you can make with paper, it’s not just cards! Happy crafting 😊

Throwback Tuesday

Hi, just a quick post today I thought I’d revisit a box I made last year I really like the shape of this and it’s easy to make. It’s cased from the talented Linda Parker I love her boxes! The card stock I used is Mossy Meadow one of the in-colours which will leave us this year and teamed up with Very Vanilla and Pacific Point and the daisies from Grateful Bunch stamp set. Hope your day is going well, happy crafting 😊 www.elainebaines.stampinup.netimage

Simple Style

Hi, today’s post is all about simplicity, I love clean and simple cards and these two are simple but elegant. I used Stampin Up stamp set Boardering Blooms the gold card is embossed and matted on gold card stock with a little bit of embossing work around the bloom. The other card I’ve water coloured using Melon Mambo, Tempting Turquoise, Daffodil Delight and Old Olive inks and a water brush, again accenting the boarder print with two rows of embossing. I hope you like their simplicity too if you would like to make cards like these I will be starting a class for a small group max 4 all resources will be provided along with tuition and a cup of tea and cake, watch this space for more details. Happy crafting 😊image

Look back Tuesday

Hi, today I decided to revisit some of the stamp sets from Stampin Up’s annual catalogue. With all the new seasonal sets at Christmas and now those in the Spring catalogue as well as SAB we tend to overlook those fabulous items that are in the annual catalogue. So today’s project I made using the Mini Treatbag Thinlits die, Butterfly Basics & Hardwood stamp sets and the Flower Medallion punch. The edges I sponged using Crumb Cake ink to give it a more vintage feel. If you would like to look at any items by Stampin Up please go to my online store at http://www.elainebaines.stampinup.net or message me for more information. Happy Crafting 😊image
