Project Life

Hi, I had a very productive craft day yesterday making items for workshops including this Project Life page. Project Life is a great way of getting those photographs of your mobile phone, iPad etc. and getting them seen, saved and memories recorded. It’s a quick version of scrapbooking and can be as ornate or not, it’s just up to you. I will be offering Project Life workshops soon, so if you’re interested in having a go just keep an eye on this space. Happy Crafting ๐Ÿ˜Šimage

#imbringingbirthdaysback

Hi, Stampin Up have just released a new stamp #imbringingbirthdaysback as part of the move toward getting people to send handmade cards rather than Facebook messages or e- cards. ย Have you every received or sent a handmade card? Would you like to receive a handmade card that you can send out to a member of your family or friends? For a limited period of one week starting from Monday 18th April until Sunday 24th April (inc) I will send you a handmade card so you can see the quality of Stampin Up products and the professional look you get from these products. All you have to do is like my Laineybcrafts Facebook page (it must be the page you like not the post) and send me your address so I can send you your free handmade card. If you already like my page just send me your address. Only one card per household please. If you would like to learn how to make your own cards, let me know as I will be arranging workshops in Calderdale in the coming weeks. The cards I send out will be of my choosing – no special request, sorry. Happy Crafting ๐Ÿ˜Š

Miniature Birdhouse

Hi, I decided to have a bit of a play about with a small wooden birdhouse I bought a few weeks ago. It measures approx 7.5 x 6 x 3 cm and I covered it with Stampin Up English Garden DSP and one or two flowers using the punches and the small bird stamp from Everything Eleanor stamp set. I think it’s quiet cute and looks lovely sitting amongst my makes. Happy Crafting ๐Ÿ˜Š ย  Want to purchase items or look at Stampin Up products then go to my online store http://www.elainebaines.stampinup.net

Throwback Tuesday

Hi, just a quick post today I thought I’d revisit a box I made last year I really like the shape of this and it’s easy to make. It’s cased from the talented Linda Parker I love her boxes! The card stock I used is Mossy Meadow one of the in-colours which will leave us this year and teamed up with Very Vanilla and Pacific Point and the daisies from Grateful Bunch stamp set. Hope your day is going well, happy crafting ๐Ÿ˜Šย www.elainebaines.stampinup.netimage

And then there were boxes

Hi, I’ve done really well recently at not making boxes (if you know me at all you will know I love to make boxes). So today I allowed myself to indulge in a couple of sweet little makes CASd from Craftycarolinecreates. The box with the lace bow was a happy accident as I made a few measurement errors and needed to rearrange things a little! ย The other box is the original design and has a beautiful lined inside. The box is very sturdy and looks and feels very professional and I am going to mess with measurements and try to produce a bigger box, the original measures app 2.5″ I used Tip Top Taupe & Whisper White card stock and stamped the beautiful daisy from Grateful Bunch stamp set in Wisteria Wonder. Hope you like them as much as I’ve enjoyed making them Happy Crafting๐Ÿ˜„

Simple Style

Hi, today’s post is all about simplicity, I love clean and simple cards and these two are simple but elegant. I used Stampin Up stamp set Boardering Blooms the gold card is embossed and matted on gold card stock with a little bit of embossing work around the bloom. The other card I’ve water coloured using Melon Mambo, Tempting Turquoise, Daffodil Delight and Old Olive inks and a water brush, again accenting the boarder print with two rows of embossing. I hope you like their simplicity too if you would like to make cards like these I will be starting a class for a small group max 4 all resources will be provided along with tuition and a cup of tea and cake, watch this space for more details. Happy crafting ๐Ÿ˜Šimage

A Special Card

Hope you like today’s project as much as I’ve enjoyed making it. Love the cleaness of Whisper White and Sahara Sand, the DSP I used is now sadly retired, but everything else is still available in the Annual Stampin Up Catalogue. This card is a special frame card in its own box, made for a friend and colleague’s birthday, she loves neutral colour schemes so I know she will love this. Thanks to Amanda at The Craft Spa for her instructions on making the frame, got there in the end! Simply Sunday

Hi, I hope you’ve all had a great weekend. Did any of you go to the Special Local Market held in Sowerby Bridge today? I didn’t manage to make it this time too much to do. Also spent my budget yesterday at the Sewing Craft Event at The Trafford Centre yesterday it was a great event and for those crafty/sewing types amongst us a must go too next time it’s in town!
I’ve been busy today completing an order for table favours for a Masonic Ladies evening next month in Stratford-upon Avon (I’ve been invited too!) here is a sneak peak of part of the decor on some of them. I went a little crazy too and I’ve made 22 too many of these flowers so if anyone is interested they are for sale at 20p each or 10 for ยฃ1.75. Message me if you’d like to buy some flowers or if you’d like to commission a piece of work or even book a Stampin Up! Party and earn yourself some free products! Enjoy the rest of your weekend xx
